Stacey + Clay’s elegant Yacht Club wedding day began at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Downton Detroit, before heading to The Detroit Yacht Club for the ceremony and reception. Both Stacey + Clay got ready in separate rooms with their wedding parties. They enjoyed their morning with loved ones before their emotional first look in the stairwell of the Westin.
Their color palette was a mix of beautiful neutrals! The wedding colors fit the atmosphere of this elegant Yacht Club wedding so perfectly. Formal portraits were taken on a dock with the city skyline in the background which provided the most incredible views! The Detroit Yacht Club, founded in 1868, was a beautiful venue that made for an incredible night of fun & dancing. (You can read more about their venue here!) After dinner, speeches + cake cutting, the dance floor was opened by Stacey and Clay. They danced together for the first time as husband and wife, and it was such a special moment. Then their reception dance floor was electric and so fun! Clay loves dancing so it was so fun to see all of the moves he had up his sleeve!
The entire night went incredibly seamless thanks to an incredible vendor team. We started this fun Woodward Ave. engagement session in front of the stunning Shinola Hotel, a beautiful boutique hotel.
