Last December, I had the huge honor of capturing Graham and Melissa’s Jamaica cruise destination wedding week. with their friends and family. We began their wedding week on the Independence of the Seas and started sailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our 5-night cruise took place before the COVID-19 outbreak. I photographed every event possible for Graham and Melissa and to say that it was a blast is an understatement. The first night on the cruise we started off by celebrating their marriage with a joint bachelor and bachelorette party at the karaoke bar. Their theme was the roaring 20’s since we would all be celebrating New Year’s on the boat!
Bachelor & Bachelorette Party
Labadee, Haiti
Our first port was Labadee, Haiti. Melissa and Graham wanted to capture a few moments while on the island before the left for their excursion. Our day in Haiti was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect, with a few clouds and sun all day. Melissa and her bridal party all wore matching swimsuits and sailor hats. Melissa dressed up for dinner in a beautiful emerald gown paired with the cutest hair clips.
Wedding Rehearsal
Graham and Melissa’s rehearsal and wedding ceremony occurred in their gorgeous room called the Royal Suite. It was able to seat all of their guests, had a grand piano for their ceremony and a beautiful balcony to look out over the water. Their whole wedding week was so fun and their guests were all so kind and welcoming.
Wedding Day
Melissa and Graham’s wedding day was beyond perfect. We all woke up to a gorgeous view of Falmouth, Jamaica. They chose to get married in their Royal Suite, so we didn’t have time to get off the boat to take photos, however since everyone was on the port so we had the whole boat to ourselves to take photos all day. Their intimate ceremony was held in their Royal Suite with all of their closest family and friends. After dinner, we met in the Royal Promenade to ring in the New Year. By far one of my favorite moments as a photographer has to be ringing in 2020 with Graham and Melissa as newlyweds. The energy and excitement permeated the air and you can feel their love in each photo that was captured.
Post Wedding Day
By the end of this post, you probably have gathered that Graham and Melissa have such good style. All of their outfits were so on point and so classy. On our last day, Melissa wanted a few more fun photos documenting their first day as Mr. & Mrs. Charlton. Wow, what a week. The Charlton’s Jamaica cruise destination wedding week was an absolute dream and to be able to capture all of their memories was an absolute honor.
